The City of Montezuma has a leash law that requires owners to keep their dogs on a leash or either confined to their property. All dogs must be registered each year at City Hall and must display a valid dog tag to avoid being picked up by the animal control officer. Cost for registering your dog is $5.00. Dogs may be registered at City Hall.
